The popular video-blogging service YouTube released some advanced analytics functionalities last week. The new video analytics tool was named YouTube Insight, and delivers metrics such as location data, relative popularity of your video, as well as over-time changes.

You can check the metrics of your videos on My Account > Manage My Videos > Videos, Favorites and Playlists > About this video

The tool is still pretty basic, but it will help you to determine the critical point when your viral campaign really takes of. Maybe it is only a matter of time before Google integrates statistical data about YouTube (and Google Video)?
