I went to a Drupal trainingsession yesterday at the University of Antwerp. I was familiar with the concept but I hadn’t seen it in action yet. (Drupal is a free software package that allows an individual or a community of users to easily publish, manage and organize a wide variety of content on a website. “http://drupal.org/about“)
The second post on the brand new GWO blog announces that in the future Google Website Optimizer will also be available outside of AdWords. The standalone version will have a slightly different interface, but the functionality will be very similar to the integrated version.
Great news, because you now can use Website Optimizer to A/B test both your AdWords landing pages and landing pages from other channels such as Yahoo! and email marketing campaigns.
The nominees for the 12th anual Webby Awards have been announced. You can also vote for your favorites at the People’s Voice awards. The Webby Awards recognize the best web sites, online apps and advertising. In short, there’s a lot of inspiration to found there.
I haven’t had a great deal of time to look to these (new) tools (for me at least) that go beyond the traditional pageview, # unique visitor model.
